Protection of the environment begins in the mind. Our actions serve as an example internally and externally. For this reason we have developed simple guidelines, based on our many years experience, designed to motivate all of our employees in implementing our objectives: The SONAX Environment Policy.

Only by working together can we achieve our environmental goals. That is why we maintain a thorough and open dialogue.

Further training and information

Comprehensive and accurate information, regular training and further education promote our environmental awareness.

Communication

We will give open and honest answers to questions addressed to us. In selecting our suppliers, we insist on sufficient consideration of environmental responsibilities.

Safety and environmental protection

Safety in our production units, and environmental protection represent equally important objectives, and will never be neglected in the interest of increased productivity.

Products

We are continually enlarging our knowledge about the environmental compatibility of established and newly developed products, and take the appropriate measures.

Product development and manufacturing processes

With new products and/or manufacturing methods, we take the requirements of environmental protection into account right from the development and trial stages.

Resources

We endeavor to use raw materials and energy economically, in order to protect the environment.

Waste Disposal

We strive to reduce waste, to use recyclable materials in an appropriate way, and to dispose of non-recyclable waste in accordance with existing regulations.

Disposal of Waste Water

We use the appropriate technology to reduce the amount of waste water and pollution.

Land

On the plant site, we avoid harmful contamination of the ground.

Used Air

We take care to use manufacturing techniques with low emissions. Unavoidable used air streams are purified using the latest technology.

Noise Pollution

In order to protect employees as well as neighbors, we carefully monitor and contain existent noise sources.

Supervision

As our own responsibility, we monitor and control production units and processes as well as used air, waste water, soil, waste material and noise.

Initiative

Environmental protection is not just a question of rules and regulations to us. We practise it on our own initiative, and as our responsibility with continuous improvements as the ultimate goal.
